Obverse: Cook Islands coat of arms and face value. Reverse: Portrait of the Lace Maker painting by Vasily Tropinin. Inside this are inserted two pure golden wires. In the bottom – writing of the name “VASILY TROPININ 1776-1857” on the left – the series name “OLD MASTERS OF EUROPE” and above – the year “2010”. On the left at the bottom – a small stylized part of the painting as a series returning feature.

Vasily Tropinin was a Russian painter. The painting in this coin is called the Lace Maker. The coin is the ffth coin in the series which represents the most famous painters in European history.
