Description of obverse and reverse Оbverse of the Ukrainian coin: above - the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription «НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ» (National Bank of Ukraine), to the right: beneath the Coat of Arms there is a legend «10/ГРИВЕНЬ/2012» (10/hryvnias/2012) with the Henri Delaunay Cup placed thereunder against the background of conventionalized ornament consisting of Euro-2012-related graphic characters. Below there is the legend indicating the coin`s metal, fineness - Ag 925, weight in fineness - 31.1 g and the logotype of the NBU Mint. Obverse of the Polish coin: above there is the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Poland, with the following semicircular legend «RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA», to the left of it; against a conventionalized background incorporating Euro-2012-related graphic characters, there is an image of the UEFA Euro 2012 official logo, with the following legend beneath it: «10 / ZŁOTYCH / 2012». Reverse of both coins: there is an image of a football player and fragments of parts of a ball that combine to create the image of a whole ball; there are the following legends: «УЄФА ЄВРО 2012™ УКРАЇНА-ПОЛЬЩА (UEFA Euro 2012TM UKRAINE-POLAND)» (on the NBU coin) and «UEFA EURO 2012™ POLSKA–UKRAINA» (on the NBP coin).
A brief annotation The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, was the 14th European Championship for national football teams organized by UEFA . The final tournament was hosted for the first time by Poland and Ukraine , between 8 June and 1 July 2012, after their bid was chosen by UEFA's Executive Committee in 2007. Euro 2012 set the record for both the highest aggregate attendance (1,440,896) and the highest average attendance per game (46,481) under the 16-team format (since 1996 ).
