A brief annotation | Commemorating the master of classical design the Kaj Franck coin represents classic Finnish coin design and thus celebrates one of the internationally most recognized Finnish designers, Kaj Franck (1911–1989). The coin marks 100 years since the birth of the design legend. Dubbed ‘the conscience of Finnish design’, Kaj Franck taught Finnish designers and designed for Arabia, Artek, Nuutajärvi and Iittala. He was also among the first proponents of recycling. |
