Description of obverse and reverse | On the upper part of the obverse – a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and the inscription along the rim: “РЕСПУБЛИКА БЕЛАРУСЬ”; in the center - the image of a fractal which represents an abstract allegory of the essence of a dance (dance as a symbol of freedom, magic and art); at the bottom – the face value “20 RUBLEЎ”, on the left of it – the year of issue, on the right - the alloy. On the central part of the reverse – the image two dancing women against on the background of an ornamental geometric composition reflecting the theme, style and specific of the Arabic dance; on the left a circle inscription: “АРАБСКІ ТАНЕЦ”. |
A brief annotation | The history of dance take its origins in the depths of centuries - the primary source of folk dance were movements and gestures related to the sensuous impressions from the outside world. Ritual mysteries with its choreographic language and expressiveness were an integral part of spiritual life of ancient people. The Art of Dance - is the most ancient kind of creative expression of people that appeared the same time as the humankind and reflects natural physiological need in rhythmic movement. Over the centuries thanks to the artistic generalization dance became an independent kind of art and every nation has developed its own dance traditions. |
