Description of obverse and reverse | On the obverse at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center - a stylized image of a theatre stage, the inscriptions: along the upper rim – “РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ”, at the bottom – face value “10 RUBLEЎ”, on the left - the year of issue, on the right - the alloy. In the central part of the reverse, on the decorative background – a portrait of a Belarusian actor and theatre worker I. Bujnitsky; on the right – a stylized image of a stage and a fragment of a theatre performance with I. Bujnitsky and his daughter, at the bottom along the rim – the inscriptions: “І. БУЙНІЦКІ” and years of life: “1861-1917”. |
A brief annotation | Ignat Terentjevich Bujnitsky is a Belarusian actor, theatre worker, who considered to be a creator (father) of the Belarusian professional theater. He widely publicized musical creativity of people - their songs and dances. He was eager to create an intermedia theater where except for the dramatic art choral singing and folk dancing should be represented. Starting from 1922 a Prize named I. Buynitskij is awarded in the theater art in Belarus. |
