A brief annotation On the occasion of the XVII edition of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, the Mint of Poland presented a commemorative coin dedicated to the world-famous Polish pianist and composer of the Romantic era. Chopin’s portrait derived from his famous statue located in Warsaw’s Royal Baths Park constitutes a central motif of this magnificent silver coin. The monument has a simple, yet deeply expressive form. Thanks to advanced high-relief minting technology, the artistic convention of the free-standing statue was faithfully depicted on our meticulously sculptured silver coin.
