Description of obverse and reverse | The obverse: in the center there is Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. Along the edge of the coin – the semicircular inscriptions: on the left – «NEW ZEALAND», on the right – «ELIZABETH II», at the bottom –«2013». The reverse: on the right there is a fern branch, as well as an amulet in the form of a twisted fern frond with the inscription «KORU» and the face value «$10». The remaining space of the reverse occupies a picture of Tane Mahuta (Maori – Tāne-mahuta) – a Polynesian deity of forests and birds. His face is depicted in a form of different connected models of the koru. According to the concepts of Maori, trees and birds are the children of Tane Mahuta. |
A brief annotation | On the coin there is an image of koru – Maori amulet (New Zealand natives), looks as a twisted spiral and symbolizing a fern frond, full of life and energy. For Maori koru means tranquility, peace and love. The intricate design features the koru beautifully engraved with three-dimensional relief, giving the coins incredible depth and dimension. The depiction of Tāne Mahuta, the God of the Forest, contains striking contrasts between the frosted koru and the polished background - resulting in visually powerful coins that are not to be missed. |

Очень даже неплохо.

Реверс, как обычно, намного менее впечатлительнее аверса. Авторы монет с аверсом королевы Великобритании имеют значительную возможность реализовать себя в реверсе. Дэйв - у Вас получилось.
