Description of obverse and reverse

On the obverse of the coin, framed by the national ornament, there are the year of minting, the denomination, the trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint and the inscription indicating the metal from which the coin was made, its standard and weight.

The reverse of the coin features a composition of a naturalistic and stencil image of an owl's head with a diamond insert. The top of the coin features the inscription UKI. Around the perimeter of the coin, there is a wide edging with decorative elements.

A brief annotation

In many cultures the owl is a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, hidden opportunities and unique vision. The nomads revered the owl as a sacred bird. This is due to the understanding of the role of the owl as a bird capable of protecting people from evil spirits, with a totem symbolizing wisdom.
