On the obverse of this coin, the entire universe of Van Cleef & Arpels is present. We can see the inspiration of nature, imagination but also the emblematic collections of the house like the "Alhambra" collection. The reverse of the coin, meanwhile, puts forward the crafts and the excellence of Van Cleef & Arpels. In the centre, an ins ert specially created by Van Cleef & Arpels adorns this exceptional object. This insert is made up of two butterflies crossing the blank of the Kilo. It is composed of diamonds: 34 round and 1 marquise-cut. The obverse is the back of the butterfly. The frame of this piece of jewellery allows to understand the technique and knowledge associated with the crimping of the diamonds. By a se t of transparency, we perceive through the coin the brilliance of diamonds.

The coin is presented in a glass globe. Inspired by ancient globes and by the High Jewelery universe. This set allows to magnify of the coin while perfectly protecting it. The one kilo coin emerges from a foliage delicately cut in paper reminding the universe of Van Cleef & Arpels. A brass butterfly positioned at the top of the set allows to remove the globe in order to position the coin. On the lower part, two compartments contain a brochure, an authenticity certificate, a magnifying glass, a pair of gloves and a one-coin wallet.
