Description of obverse and reverse
On the coin obverse is the coat of the Artillery Academy, Crown Royal School of Artillery. On the left and right sides of the shield, in capital letters, the letter A, in reference to the words Artillery and Academy. At the top of the coin shown legend SPAIN. At the bottom, and between two gunners emblems, the year of issue 2014. The reverse depicts, in the foreground, the Triumph contained in the facade of the Academy’s building in San Francisco. Behind, a picture of the Alcazar of Segovia. On the right side of the coin reverse is logo of 250th Anniversary of the Royal School of Artillery.
A brief annotation
On the occasion of the 250th Anniversary of the Royal School of Artillery of Segovia, the Royal Spanish Mint issued the commemorative coin dedicated to this iconic institution.
