Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: On the left on the coin in a stylised shape of the heart, from the bottom to the top, a stylised image of a piano keyboard. Above, on the right, image of the Eagle established as the state emblem of the Republic of Poland. On the sides of the Eagle,
inscription: 10-zł. From the top, left-to-right and next along the right rim, in an isolated area, inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2012 (Republic of Poland 2012). Under the Eagle, on the right, the Mint’s mark: M/W.
Reverse: A stylised image of a guitar, the upper part of the fingerboard made of stylised images of hearts. On the left of the fingerboard, inscription: 20, on the right, inscription: Lat (years). Along the rim, in an isolated area, inscription: WIELKA ORKIESTRA ŚWIĄTECZNEJ POMOCY (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity).
A brief annotation
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) was created in Warsaw on 2 March 1993. It is the most active non-government
organization in Poland enjoying the highest level of public confidence. Jurek Owsiak is the originator and initiator of the WOŚP, as well as the President of its Management Board. Each January the Foundation holds a one-day, ationwidecollection of funds for purchasing medical equipment for Polish hospitals.
