Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: in the centre – the emblem of the Bank of Russia, inscriptions along the rim, above the indication of denomination, below - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, the year of issue “2012”, fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse: in the centre – the image of the main entrance of the Pushkin Museum, to the right – figures of the warriors from the Taman stele of the Bosporus Kingdom, to the left – the colored fragment of S. Botticelli’s painting “Annunciation”.
A brief annotation
The coin was issued to commemorate the centenary of the founding of the museum. The rarest and a masterpiece of fine arts museum collection was placed on the reverse of the coin.
