Obverse: in the centre – the emblem of the Bank of Russia, inscriptions along the rim, above the indication of denomination, below - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, the year of issue “2012”, fine metal content and the mint trade mark. Reverse: The most important elements of the picture are the portrait of I.A. Bunin, whose artist career ran in Russia and France, and images of the Eifel Tower and cupolas of the Intercession Cathedral in Moscow – well known symbols of both countries.

The Seasons became the continuation of the 2010 “cross-year” Russia-France. In 2012 programs of popularization of literature and languages of both countries were fulfilled in the course of the Seasons.
