Description of obverse and reverse
On the obverse of the coins the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is depicted.
On the reverse of the coin there is a composition of a naturalistic and stencil–ornamental image of a bird with a diamond insert. Along the perimeter of the coin there is a wide edging with decorative elements made in the form of the Saka animal style.
A brief annotation
Nomads revered the golden eagle as a sacred bird. In many epic works of the Turkic-speaking peoples the golden eagle was sung as a sacred bird and symbolized courage and fearlessness. Golden eagle feathers also served as a talisman in the nomad's dwelling.
The peculiarity of all coins of this series «Cult animals – totems of nomads» is a combination of a naturalistic and stencil animal type with an allegorical presentation under the «Saka animal style» in the form of a gilded mask with ornamental elements.
