The obverse of the coin in the central part depicts the central square of the city of Nur-Sultan from a bird's eye view. The left part of the drawing is covered by a round insert made of gold, on which is located the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Along the circumference of the coin on a wide edge there are traditional Kazakh ornaments, below is located the inscription "QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY", the denomination of the coin and inscriptions indicating the metal from which the coin is made, its sample and weight are reflected, the logo of the Kazakhstan Mint.
On the reverse of the coin in the center is the inscription "Nur-Sultan" with images of the main attractions of the capital: the residence "Akorda", the monument "Baiterek" and the center "Khan Shatyr". The right part of the coin is occupied by an insert made of gold, on which there is a portrait of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – N. A. Nazarbayev. In the upper part of the central circle, the National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is depicted using UV printing technology, in the lower part-the year of minting of the coin and the signature of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Along the circumference of the coin, on a wide edge, there are traditional Kazakh ornaments.
