Description of obverse and reverse
On the obverse of the coin, framed by the national ornament, there are the year of minting, the nominal value, and the trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint. Around the circumference is the inscription "QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY • REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN".
On the reverse of the coin there is a composition of a naturalistic and stenciled image of a deer head, in the upper part the inscription "BUǴY". Along the perimeter there is a wide edging with decorative elements.
A brief annotation
This coin continues the series "Cult animals-totems of nomads". Its design is based on a combination of a naturalistic and stenciled view of the depicted animal with an allegorical presentation under the "Saka animal style".
The deer is one of the cult sacred animals in the beliefs of nomadic peoples. In the view of the Proto-Turks, this totem was interpreted as a progenitor and served as a symbol of procreation.
