A brief annotation
An outstanding phenomenon of the Belarusian and Ukrainian book and music culture of the New Time was the hymnographic collection of the Orthodox and Greek Catholic Churches, which was called the Irmologion. The compilation consisted of a set of festive church hymns of the liturgical year. The dawn of books of this genre falls on the XVI-XVIII century. Irmologions once belonged to the most widespread monuments of Russian book culture. The coins were issued as part of a joint project of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of Ukraine.
