Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: at the top there is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; an image of two rackets and a ball is in the center. Around of the coin there are inscriptions: "REPUBLIC OF BELARUS"; at the bottom is the denomination: "20 RUBLES", the year of minting, the alloy sample.
Reverse: in the center there is a stylized image of female athletes playing tennis. On the left side of the coin is the inscription: "SUMMER SPORTS", at the bottom is the inscription: "TENIS".
A brief annotation
The history of tennis in Belarus, as well as a number of other sports games begins in 1920. Since this year, Belarusian tennis athletes have taken their first steps. At that time, open tennis courts were built in Brest, Minsk and Grodno. We are proud of saying that Belarusian tennis has outstanding achievements and stars that have made our sport famous and made Belarus recognizable in the world.
