Description of obverse and reverse
Reverse Features the busy Tooth Fairy flying on wings resembling wattle leaves, holding a child’s tooth. The Fairy’s hair and clothing are made of wattle flowers, and the flying Fairy scatters a dusting of golden wattle blossom, set against the background of the Moon. The design around the edge of the coin shows the Tooth Fairy’s special doorway, and a wreath of Australian rainforest ferns and plants.

Obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed Jody Clark.
A brief annotation
The legend of the Tooth Fairy has been treasured by Australian children since the 1920s, based on centuries-old traditions of replacing baby teeth with a gift. In modern times parents and grandparents often enhance the sense of magic with special keepsakes.

This Tooth Fairy Coin celebrates the special relationship between the Tooth Fairy and the Royal Australian Mint, official supplier of coins to the Tooth Fairy in Australia. The kit is intended as a special gift from parents, grandparents and others to children – to mark the occasion of losing baby teeth with a special keepsake Tooth Fairy coin. The kit also encourages good oral hygiene with extra gifts including an environmentally-friendly bamboo toothbrush.
