Description of obverse and reverse
The obverse shows a line of arches decorated with typical floral tile elements that can be found in the mosques of Isfahan. The vanishing point is concentrated on a window element made of blue green Tiffany glass; in the lower third a small coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, below 500 Dollars.
The reverse features a part of the Shah Mosque of Isfahan: In the foreground a balcony with typical decorative muqarnas ceiling that draws the observer’s attention to the Tiffany glass inlay ornamented on all pieces with a golden mashrabiya element. In the background a part of the cupola of the Shah Mosque. In the case of the Gold Edition, the legend isfahan / Tiffany Art 2020 / Final Edition is distributed on the architectural elements.

This magnificent piece highlights the architectural wonder of Naghsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan, Iran, also known as Imam Square. This Unesco World Heritage site is one of the largest city center squares in the world and a treasure of Persian architecture and art. The highly detailed relief honors the architecture of the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque that is located on the east side of the city square.
