Coin’s obverse features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II effigy sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Coin’s reverse features a moving design depicting the remnants of war, buried beneath a field of Flanders Poppies.

A brief annotation

At 11am on 11 November 1918 the guns on the Western Front fell silent as an Armistice came into effect, bringing an end to the First World War. In 2018 the Royal Australian Mint commemorated the Centenary of this Armistice with this evocative coin.
