A brief annotation
A 25 g sterling silver 40 mm coin commemorating the 125th anniversary of Peter Lalor’s death. “From Rebel to Statesman” is the story of Lalor’s early days as leader of the gold miner’s rebellion at Eureka Stockade in Ballarat, Australia to his later prominence as a Member of Parliament. A coloured image of Lalor in his later years combined with high relief images of the rebellion, detailed with the С, miners, attacking troopers and reward poster. All supported with a coloured “Southern Cross” flag, created by the miners and has now become a famous symbol for Australia’s workers.
