A brief annotation
In 2014, the annual Australian Lunar Gold Coin Series celebrated the Year of the Horse in accordance with the ancient Chinese calendar. This collector coin was struck in high relief to capture the depth and detail of the artistry which reflects the energetic and spirited nature of the majestic steed galloping through a stylised oriental landscape of mountains and clouds. The coin was created as a treasured keepsake of this auspicious year in the Chinese zodiac and for those people born under the rule of the horse.
