The obverse replicates a scene from the work entitled «Felipe III on horseback», painted by Diego R. de Silva y Velázquez in 1634-5. The painting is housed in the Prado Museum. This coin with a face value of 50 euros depicts on the reverse the painting «The Spinners or The Fable of Arachne», created around 1657 by Diego R. de Silva y Velázquez. The painting is housed in the Prado Museum.
