The obverse: there is a national shrine of Lao People's Democratic Republic - Golden stupa, its image inscribed in a circle. At the top along the rim – the inscription «National Bank of Laos». At the bottom there is a face value – «50 000 Kip», «Ag 925» – the fineness and logo of the Moscow Mint. Artistic feature of the reverse is a non-standard form – a quatrefoil made with green enamel. At the top of the coin there is a hole in the shape of a heart that one can use the coin as a decoration and that makes the coin a great gift for any woman.

It is believed that this plant brings good luck to its finder, especially if it is found accidentally. According to the legend, each leaf part of this four-part leaf represents something special: the first – hope, the second – faith, the third - love, and the fourth – good luck.
