A brief annotation
Baron Pierre de Coubertin, known as the ‘Father of the Modern Olympics’ was born in 1893. His vision and dedication led to the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. To commemorate the anniversary of his birth, this coin was produced which reproduces the medal given to Olympic winners in 1896, in the same metal and with the same diameter. The coin was also produced in high relief making this a very desirable piece.
