Description of obverse and reverse
The obverse: in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2011 г." (2011), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
The reverse: to the left - the relief of a medieval knight with the spear, to the right - a dancing ballerina with the fan, in the background to the left - a windmill, to the right - outlines of a building and trees, above along the rim - inscription: "ГОД ИСПАНИИ В РОССИИ" (THE YEAR OF SPAIN IN RUSSIA).
A brief annotation
On the occasion of the Year of Russia in Spain and the Year of Spain in Russia, both countries were issued two silver coins – one per country.
