The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank, the year “1879” on the strip, underneath there is the nominal value “BGN 10” (10 ЛЕВА). “БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА” (BULGARIAN NATIONAL BANK) and the year of issue “2011” are inscribed in circumference along the outer ring. In the inner circle on the reverse of the coin is the image of the famous Bulgarian opera singer Gena Dimitrova as Princess Turandot from the eponymous opera. Written in circumference on the outer ring are “ИМЕНИТИ БЪЛГАРСКИ ГЛАСОВЕ” (GREAT BULGARIAN VOICES) and “ГЕНА ДИМИТРОВА” (GENA DIMITROVA).
