A brief annotation
The coin is dedicated to the unique landscape of the wildlife sanctuary “Mid Pripyat”. It shows the typicals of flora and the Floating Moss and the Pond turtle. The species are threatened with extinction due to pollution and the shallowing water, reducing the area of natural habitats and human activities.
The idea of the coin’s design is to show the creative role of humans in the environment. It is based on traditional Belorussian ornament placed on both sides of the coin, depicting the symbol of the sun in the sign of the earth as a symbol of reverence for life.
