Description of obverse and reverse
The reverse design depicts the Vladimir Vysotsky’s portrait in white-black colors (in newsletter style) and his autograph, the inscription "VLADIMIR VYSOTSKY" (in Russian), the mountain’s peaks and words from his song: “If I couldn’t live so long, I should sing to the end my song” (in Russian). The inscription "1938-1980" (years of Vladimir’s life) also features as part
of the design.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Rafael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2010 year-date and monetary denomination.
A brief annotation
The coin pays tribute to soviet singer, writer and actor Vladimir Vysotsky who suddenly died 30 years ago, in 1980.
The coin began series “To remember” commemorate persons included in cultural treasury of all people who “was born in USSR”. Author’s rights are observed.
