Proof Bi-colored (composite) coin has the round form consisted of the concentric situated rings and disk. The internal disk of coin is made of tantalum, the external ring is made of silver.

Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: In the central part there is the composition symbolizing the unity of human being with the universe and the connection between the past and present. In the right sector there is an inscription “500 ТЕҢГЕ” (500 Tenge) signifying the nominal value, under it there is a mintmark of the Kazakhstan Mint and the inscription “Ag 925 14,6 gr. Та 26.8 gr” specifying the metal which the coin is made of, its alloy and weight. On the circumference there is an inscription “ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ” in the official language and “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN” in English.
Reverse: The image of Lunokhod-1 – the first self-moving moon device, (planetokhod) in the process of program implementation to study the feature of moon surface on the sky, and the planet of Earth are depicted. In the bottom part there is an inscription “1970-2010” meaning the year of the Lunokhod-1 delivery and the year of mintage. On the circumference there is an inscription “ЛУНОХОД-1” in the official language and “LUNOKHOD-1” in English.
A brief annotation
The coin is partly made of tantalum – a metal widely used in aerospace industry.“Lunokhod-1” is a first self-moving moon device (planetokhod). It was delivered on the Moon surface on the 17th of November, 1970 by a Soviet interplanetary probe Luna-17 and had been worked there until the 4th of October, 1971.
