The series on impressionist painters was launched in 2007 and ends this year with Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). These striking coins with pictorial themes have all been minted in a rectangular shape. Each coin depicts a painting which is emblematic of the artist and features the creation date, the artist’s signature and their portrait.
