At the bottom - the face value “10 EURO”. On the reverse there is an image of the dragon of Klagenfurt with an open mouth. To his left there is a fragment of the castle and the image of two men who managed to throw a metal chain around the neck of the mythical monster. At the bottom - the inscription “DER LINDWURM IN KLAGENFURT”.
A brief annotation Lindwurm – is a fictional creature of Germanic mythology, in British heraldry – it is dragon with two wings, often with poisonous saliva. The Klagenfurt legend of the dragon is as follows: once at the site of the town there was a swamp and a dragon lived in it. The monster played tricks over the residents of neighborhoods however there were brave men who managed to exhaust the dragon and the town was founded on the place of the swamp. The dragon still presents in the lives of the citizens of Klagenfurt but only as an image on the Coat of arms of their town.
