On the reverse Augustine plays the bagpipes in one of Vienna pubs. People who listen to him drink beer. In the background there are fragments of the old city of Vienna. At the bottom - a semicircular inscription “DER LIEBE AUGUSTIN” (Dear Augustin).
A brief annotation Augustine was a poor musician, a drunker, he lived outside Vienna but he came to the town to earn money with his music for a drink. It was a plague epidemic that time in Vienna. Once he got drunk lying on the street and people took him away as a corpse, buried him but covered the grave carelessly. So Augustine awoke, stood up and began singing at the edge of the grave: “Ah, my dear Augustine!” Back in town he shocked his contemporaries by this story so that they perceived it as a direct guide to action. Trusting citizens believed that large doses of alcohol could be the antidote to the disease. After some time the epidemic, as always, suddenly stopped but the grateful residents of Vienna connected it with the name of Augustine.
