Description of obverse and reverse Obverse: the Mexican Official Seal in sculptural relief, surrounded by the “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” (UNITED MEXICAN STATES) legend. Reverse: at the center displays two crowned globes on sea waves and side columns of Hercules, also crowned, with the title PLUS VLTRA, around VTRAQUE VNUM legend (from two, one), the mint of México and the year. On the top field parallel to the frame labeled "HERENCIA NUMISMÁTICA DE MÉXICO” (NUMISMATIC HERITAGE OF MEXICO).
A brief annotation It evocates the image of the back of an “8 reales” colonial coin (columnar type), that circulated on 1732 in Mexico, at the Viceroyalty of New Spain period. Thanks to the good law and beauty of this coin, Mexico’s currency became the primary means of international payment at XVII century.
