Description of obverse and reverse The obverse design features the acclaimed portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II, separated from the outer ring by a granose circle. Along the rim there are inscriptions: «ELIZABETH • II • D • G • REG • FID • DEF • TWO POUNDS». There is another granose circle along the rim. Reverse: this coin was designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, the internationally acclaimed duo behind the London 2012 Olympic Torch. Their dynamic image shows a 1967 Victoria line train coming out of a tunnel, and uses different perspectives and textures to reflect the light and create a sense of movement. The edge inscription of the «Train» £2 coin has a pattern representing the Tube map with a series of stations along a line.
A brief annotation On 10 January 1863 the world’s first underground railway opened in London. It was an engineering marvel that became a model for capital cities all over the world. That magnificent achievement is being celebrated with two UK £2 coins to mark the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. The «Roundel» £2 coin is inspired by the 1938 Man Ray poster, and features the world-famous London Underground logo with lettering in the distinctive Johnston typeface used at every Underground station. The «Train» £2 coin shows a 1967 Victoria line train coming out of a tunnel and uses different perspectives and textures to reflect the light and create a sense of movement.
Designer Reverse designer: Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. Obverse Designer: Ian Rank-Broadley.

Хорошая память о лондонском метро. Рельсы, поезд и королева. Симпатичная монета.
